Happiest of Mondays to you, dearest readers--which reminds me to give a shout-out to my new readers--I never thought I'd make it this far blogging and it's just a delight!!! Your support is sweet & meaningful :)
This is the outfit I wore for my little ol' poetry reading on Friday night. Actually one of my top fav outfits to date--a step closer to that wonderful vintage aesthetic I posted about a few posts ago. And it was worn for one of my top favourite summer moments to date! So many sweet people came out to listen and clap (or snap, as the case may be)...and it was just as exciting for me to hear the beautiful pieces my writer friend Lauren wrote (cheers, darling!).
This week is gonna be another busy one...remember a few months ago when I finished up my second, part-time job as Director of Choreography for the local high school? Well, those kids got so near and dear that I'm actually going to have them all over to my teeny little newlywed apartment for a big cast sleepover on Fri. Fun, but so much for which to prepare...!
Furthermore, Drayton (the main squeeze) and I are trying to make some very monumental decisions/transitions in life. We're trying to figure out what our "life goals" are as a couple (sounds stupider than it is), where we want to be, and how to get there. We have to work for at least a couple more years to get set financially before we start any ridiculous escapades...but after that? Right now I'm tentatively considering going back to professional ballet...or else heading to grad school. Both of my top dreams in life and the places where my personality and gifts would be best utilized, I think. But also both pretty intensive goals to be shooting for! So we're really praying for some leading and guidance, for certainty in knowing what steps we should take next in life :)
On a completely superficial note...this outfit showcases my new favourite shoes and accessories. I mean seriously. Are these not the cutest? And is that ring not the epitome of vintage bling?
